EAMCET 2011 Medical Web Counseling Schedule- MBBS, BDS Seats, Colleges and Last Ranks

Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences, in association with Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) will conduct web counseling for MBBS and BDS courses for the academic year 2011-2012. Detailed schedule is available at the end of this post in the image format. NTR University (http://59.163.116.210/) has already announced tentative schedule for Web Counseling to be conducted from 13th July 2011 to 18th July 2011. This will be the first web counseling for Medical courses in Andhra Pradesh. Online web counseling centers will be arranged at Osmania University (Hyderabad), SV University (Tirupati), Andhra University (Visakhapatnam) and NTR Health University (Vijayawada). Candidates can assess their chances of getting MBBS and BDS seats based on EAMCET Medical Last Ranks for 2010. Medical candidates can attend at any counseling center for certificate verification and counseling as per the ranks allotted for different dates. Following are the tentative schedules for Web Counseling for Medical, Dental, Paramedical and Ayush courses:

EAMCET Medical Web Counseling Schedule 2011 (For MBBS / BDS):

1. EAMCET 2011 Medical Counseling: First Phase from 13th July 2011 to 18th July 2011
2. EAMCET 2011 Medical Second Phase Counseling: August 3 -6, 2011
3. Start of Classes: 18th August 2011

Paramedical Courses (Nursing, Physiotherapy, Medical Lab Technology) Counseling Schedule: Candidates can apply in the prescribed format available on the NTR University website during 20th June and 5th July 2011.

1. First Phase Counseling: 22 - 26 July 2011
2. Second Phase Counseling: 16 - 18 August 2011
3. Counseling for AYUSH Courses: 24 - 26 August 2011
4. Second Phase Counseling for Ayush Courses: September 2011

Number of Medical (MBBS, BDS) seats in Andhra Pradesh:

1. Number of Govt. Medical Colleges in AP: 13
2. Number of Private Medical Colleges in AP: 19
3. Total Number of Seats in 13 Govt. Medical Colleges: 1800 seats
4. Number of Seats in 19 Private Medical Colleges: 2500.
5. Seats to be filled under A category: 1250
6. Seats in B Category : 250
7. Seats under Management Category: 1000 seats
8. Seats available in Minority Colleges: 500 (All will be filled by Managements of Colleges only)
9. Number of Govt. Dental Colleges in AP: 21 (180 seats)
10. Number of Private Dental Colleges in AP: 1600
11. BDS Seats in Minority Colleges: 60
12. Total BDS seats in AP: 1840

The number of seats in Medical and Dental Colleges in Andhra Pradesh is likely to increase this year. About 30 to 50 seats may be increased in private medical colleges. It is most likely that the intake in Katuru Medical College (AU Region) will go up to 150 from 100 seats.
